Hello everyone, it's been a couple of weeks since I chatted with you.
I hope you all enjoyed the wonderful sunshine last weekend.
The last two weeks have been particularly busy juggling finance time at the caravan, Airbnb time in Harrogate, and some lovely family moments that included birthday celebrations with my step father who reached the amazing age of 88years last Tuesday as well as spending the weekend in Newark with Paul's middle daughter and husband celebrating their exciting news that they're pregnant. Wonderful times with wonderful family and friends.
So after the beautiful warmth of the weekend it was particularly shocking to experience the relentless rain yesterday. I left Malton at 7.30am, dropped Monkey at kennels and arrived into Harrogate just in time for my Dance Fitness class and the rain did not stop ALL DAY! That said I had a very productive day getting a whole number of tasks completed and finished the day meeting my lovely friend Mary in Rubens for an early supper.
So in my last curation to you I mentioned I was beginning to get excited about the Malton Food Festival and here we are almost on the eve of this special event. And of course, I have much still to do!
If any of you were thinking of a day trip to Malton you may want to consider coming over sometime during the Bank Holiday weekend although my advice would be to come by train as it gets hugely busy.
And my new upstairs room is beginning to come together; looking good with a range of organic cotton underwear and loungewear. The Goose Studios sweats arrived yesterday in four different shades - Sage Green, Purple, Black and Olive Green. They're a great shape, are called 100 Miles Sweatshirt because the fabric and the production is made within a 100mile radius and they retail for £74.00. A really lovely purchase.
After closing the store I met for a coffee to talk through the possibility of hosting a fairly big event here in Malton bringing together a number of retailers and creators who curate and make beautiful things.
Whilst we love the Food Festivals that take place here we're also keen to promote the great range of independent stores selling clothing and homewares in this lovely market town.
Before I close I wanted to mention Karen, the lovely colleague and friend who worked with me in Bias for many years. Last week she became a grandma for the third time when another beautiful granddaughter was born. CONGRATULATIONS Karen!
So I'm going to close off now; I have lots of new stock to get loaded on the website and it's getting late. I may see some of you over the next few days; whatever you're up to have a lovely bank holiday weekend and I'll chat to you all again soon.
with love, Sally x
