Now that the sun has finally begun to shine, I decided that I should have a new spring summer look for my 'Curating' newsletters so here we go. Memories of lovely walks in Yorkshire; smells of fields of lavender growing in the Wolds and generally bright, sunshiny days.
A number of you have been letting me know that the website isn't showing some of the brands and styles that I highlight through these emails. So, on Sunday morning, working in store, I spent several hours looking through the website and yes, there were problems with some of the items. So PLEASE, whether you were looking for Woden Trainers, keen to see the full collection of our new linen brand GR Nature or just enjoying the styles and images from SZ Blockprints they are now all loaded and ALL and showing in the online store.
I'm beginning to get excited about the Malton Food Festival taking place from 24th to 27th May; it's a very big event that attracts thousands of people to it with huge numbers of food and drink stalls. I've been to them in the past few years but this will be my first festival as a local retailer. To mark the occasion I'm opening a new upstairs room and filling it with a range of organic cotton underwear and loungewear. Two new brands in particular, Organic Basics and Goose Studios, will be the main feature offering a range of bralets, briefs, t-shirts and sweatshirts.
Last week the first drop of Organic Basics arrived from Denmark and they'll be featuring on my online store in the next couple of days. They're a lovely quality and well priced too. And, of course, I'll let you know when the Goose Studio boxy sweats arrive.
I came across to the caravan a couple of hours ago; I had a lovely morning at the store, left Paul marking a huge number of assignments mid afternoon and came with Millie to my caravan near Cayton Bay. We're here for a couple of days to catch up with a fair amount of finance work for the business, get my little garden here smartened up for the summer season and basically catch up with lots of sleep.
I hope you've all enjoyed a wonderfully sunny Bank Holiday Weekend. Wasn't it great to feel the warm sunshine and leave home without having to grab a raincoat!
I'll chat to you again very soon, Sally xx
