It's been great to be back in the store and see so many of our lovely, loyal customers after my early January break.
Our Pre Loved Pop Up seems to be going so well.
First of all to say a huge thanks to those of you who brought clothes along to hang on our Pre Loved rails; we've had a wonderful response and received so many donations that we've been able to arrange the clothing in blocks of colour ensuring the store looks attractive and appealing.
That has brought the customers in to buy - and lots of them.
In fact we've been selling so well that I'm
ASKING THOSE OF YOU WHO STILL HAVE THINGS TO DONATE TO BRING THEM TO THE STORE BY 5PM ON FRIDAY AT THE LATEST.
The Pre Loved clothes will be available to buy until close of play on Wednesday 31 January and then we'll contact everyone to let them know what's been sold and how much credit they've made.
From Thursday 1 February we'll have a brand new Winter / Spring 2024 collection on the rails; it's my desire to have the store looking good right up to our final day and of course I want our Harrogate customers to see how lovely the new Spring curation looks.
So I'm hoping we'll have collections from Mama b, Odd Molly, Sofie Schnoor, Summum Woman and SZ Blockprints for you to enjoy looking through.
I'm off to London on Tuesday; it's time to start choosing clothes for the Autumn Winter 2024 Collection. I still find it hard to accept the industry works so far ahead - we're only just saying goodbye to AW23!
Still, I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of new brands and deciding whether they fit with the current Bias range.
Oh and talking of London I wanted to say how much I loved the 'Gabrielle Chanel - Fashion Manifesto' exhibition at the V and A. My lovely sister bought me a ticket as a christmas present and we had a wonderful time there - it was a fitting end to my lovely January break. Look out for the Instagram post this week showing some of Chanel's beautiful designs.
This week we say Goodbye to the wonderful Karen Ashton who has worked with Bias for the last couple of years. Not only has she been a fabulous member of staff, always looking so great in her various Bias outfits, she's become a great friend too and I will miss her very much.
She's going to be busy as a full-time grandma with two girls to look after currently and a third, new grand daughter on her way in May!
Karen, huge thanks for your commitment and contribution to our Bias world.
Stay warm, stay dry and try to stay upright with all of this wind!
I hope to see you in store soon.
