Curating - the latest news from Sally - It's beginning to look...

So here we are already well into early November with Bonfire Night almost over and now I really feel I have to get into the winter spirit.
In the Hindle household, Bonfire Night was always the trigger point for being able to say the 'c' word and so although we loved the annual bonfire organised by the Lions Group in the small village we grew up in, I think our greatest love was that Christmas was well and truly underway!

Stock has been arriving every day so it definitely feels like christmas in the store with presents in the form of gorgeous styles and glamorous outfits arriving by courier every day. All that glitters is not gold but the gifts we're receiving are very beautiful and look great on the rails.
For this winter season I definitely planned to have a great mix of luxurious knits and winter glam in the store, so together with our autumn tailoring it means we've curating a great range of styles that can be worn at a range of different events; whether it's a company party, a night out with friends or a glamorous corporate event - we really have got it covered.

In the middle of last week I had a lovely twenty four hours in Harrogate.
I arrived well in time for my Dance Fitness Class and then enjoyed a variety of coffee dates and /or lunch with close girlfriends and had a great supper with one of my closest friends who has a delightfully, stylish apartment that she's lovingly designed and created.

Some of you will know that in the final few hours of being in Harrogate I had a minot mishap which has left me a little incapacitated and not able to drive for at least three weeks. It's a little frustrating particularly with so much stock arriving for christmas which needs organising and moving around but I'm already being able to walk on my right foot.
And, let's face it, there's much, much worse going on in the world.

And we know that the outcomes of the next couple of days will have enormous impact for the world. I'm aware that I need to be careful about how much I should share here but I'm sure you wont be surprised to know I'm rooting for Kamala and the news today of the Iowa poll is hugely exciting and gives hope for us all.

From the two online orders that arrived early yesterday morning I know some of you have already noticed that I've put all of our BLANCHE styles into sale. I have loved this brand since we started selling it two years ago but this season the styles were very expensive and so consequently more difficult to sell. So, look on the website www,biasstores.co.uk and you'll see they're all at half price.

From tomorrow, Monday 4 November, the store opens from 10am to 4pm every day including Sundays. We often find that as we close our doors at 2pm we still have customers keen to come inside so we're hoping staying open until 4pm for the next two months will help.

And then of course, we have our late night Thursdays on the 28th November and then the 5th, 12th and 19th December when we'll be open until 8pm for private bookings or late night shopping opportunities.

Friday started bright and early meeting the electricians at 8.15am
and I am delighted with the outcome - the ground floor is much, much brighter and the new lights look fabulous. Huge thanks to Tom at Apeman Interiors for the design ideas and organising everything.
Look out for the Instagram images showing a brightly lit store with lovely french enamel lights highlighting the lovely panelled windows.

So a week of working from home, resting and loading products is on the agenda for me. Keep an eye on our website because by the end of the week it'll be looking fabulous and our beautiful styles will all be there!

I'll chat with you again soon, take care, Sally x
