Thank You to everyone who popped in to wish us good luck on Wednesday at the Smart Works Awards ceremony. Sadly Bias didn't win the award for 'Independent of the Year for Sustainability and Community activities' - we're still feel very priviledged to have been one of four shortlisted candidates.
This weekend we opened a lovely Vintage Pop Up in our small room downstairs. It's an interesting collection of homewares, clothing and accessories including some fabulous vintage scarves, gloves and handbags. The prices are very, very reasonable so please make sure you pop down to see what's there.
I've decided not to continue with the Thursday Workshops; the weather has been so dreadful every Thursday since we announced them I think it's just been too dark and wet for people to come out.
We'll continue to stay open until 8pm on Thursdays for late night shopping, and we'll probably have a glass of something for customers to enjoy while they're browsing in store.
AND, on Thursday 30th November, we have a very Special Late Night Opening in conjunction with Trouva so please join us for that if you can.
Another big box of Arctic Fox arrived in store on Saturday afternoon with lots more of the Recycled Bottle Beanies and Scarves in the popular colours and in two new shades - Ocean Blue and Moonless Black. I also ordered a collection of the heavier mohair style Stockholm scarves in a range of lovely autumnal and winter shades. They're now being made in 100% recycled materials so even better. And definitely check out the gorgeous Alpaca Balaclava in a lovely Lilac. It's very cute.
Don't forget that the winter collections from Odd Molly and Sofie Schnoor arrive this coming week; we'll let you know as soon as they get to the store. And the top up orders from Seventy + mochi and Bibico already look fabulous on the rails. A couple of lovely new merino wool cardigans in shades of moss and forest green and a gorgeous needlecord shirt dress have really boosted the collection.
We've also got a pretty rail of Pre Loved party clothing; if you're looking for a little glam and glitter and don't want to pay full price then come and look at the range we've put together for the winter season. There are dresses here for partying the night away, sequin pieces for suppers and soirees and lovely luxe for christmas lunches with family and friends.
Let's hope this relentless rain subsides soon and the next few weeks bring crisp, bright days just great for getting out and about.
I hope you've enjoyed reading about the latest Bias news and I'll chat with you again soon, Sally x
